Leeds charity Children's Heart Surgery Fund launch 'Keeping the Beat' campaign to raise money for a revolutionary children's heart theatre at the Leeds General Infirmary.

Hello! We are Children's Heart Surgery Fund. We are a Leeds-based charity supporting babies, children and adults with congenital heart disease from all across Yorkshire and the Humber. We're looking forward to exhibiting at the Brand Yorkshire event in October!

We wanted to take the opportunity to update you on some news from our charity about a development that will have a positive benefit in the Yorkshire community.

In May we will be officially launching our new campaign called Keeping the Beat. The aim of Keeping the Beat is to raise the money we need in order to develop a revolutionary children's heart theatre here at the Leeds General Infirmary.

This is a state-of-the-art theatre will mean less invasive procedures, faster recovery times, shorter hospital waiting times, less post-operative main and fewer post-operative complications for the babies and children treated there. This theatre will ensure Leeds Congenital Heart Unit continues to provide great cardiac care to the people of Yorkshire.

As a charity, we have already committed £1.25million to this project but we now need to raise £500,000 over the next two years in order to make this heart theatre a reality. We're making a good start – we've managed to raise just over £100,000 already and that's before we've even officially launched!
